Diagnosed with a brain stem glioma in 2001.

For my little brother, who is now three years old, who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer a in May of 2001.

On May 9, 2001 my world was forever changed when I learned that my Bubby was diagnosed with Brain Stem Glioma, a form of brain cancer. At the time of diagnosis, he was 15 months old. So far he's the youngest child we've found with this kind of cancer, which usually strikes children 5-10 yrs old.

Joshie underwent traditional chemotherapy and radiation treatment without much success. We then started on an experimental treatment with the Burzynski Clinic in Houston and have had much success!

The tumor has shrank 80% over the last year and has remained stable for several months now.

I want to thank any and all of you for your prayers and thoughts. We truly believe that prayer is what is saving Joshie.

Let them know their parents still love them as much as they always did. Let them help with their little brother and become close to him, so that if, in Your wisdom, you choose to take Josh to be with You, they will always have clear, vivid and happy memories of him and the time they were blessed to spend with him. If You wish him to remain here with them, please let his years of growing up with his siblings be joyous for all of them. We ask all these things in Your precious Son's Name. Amen.
