Myself- A 24-yr.-old girl who is lost and confused and in need of God's holy guidance.

Lonliness and Depression- To Find Friends and Loved Ones

This is a prayer for myself. I am 24 yrs. old and find myself in a place of confusion and frustration. I have suffered from depression in the past and feel as though it is coming back again. I feel lost and afraid. I know that God has a plan for me, but I feel so lonely that I can't see past these feelings to find my way. I went to church and prayed for God's guidance and found my way to this web site. Please, pray for all of those who feel like they don't deserve love or friends, because it is the worst feeling in the world. I pray that I can share my life with friends and loved ones that I can TRUST and believe in. I miss feeling like I have a "place" in this world and I pray that God leads me to my "place". Please, Lord Jesus, hear my prayer. Help me to open my heart to love in my life. Help me to surrond myself with friends. Thank you. Amen

My dear,
I am sending prayers up for you tonight and will continue to do so. You are a very loved and cherished child of our Lord, who has an important mission in life. God is using you right now to reach out to others who are seeing your need and perhaps seeing their own pain reflected in your life. I have 3 children, two are daughters ages 25 and 22. My 25 year old daughter tried to take her life again last month. I pray that you will be healed, that both you and my daughter will discover how much you are loved and needed, not only by your family and friends, but most importantly by God and the world! May you feel the Loving Arms of our Precious Jesus keeping you safe and in His Care.

lost and confused,
they say what comes from the heart reaches the heart. i feel you. i have been in the very place you are right now. i call it the valley. there was a time in my life that i felt lost and confused and unloved and unwanted and uneeded, much like you do now. However, weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning!
Let me share some of the words to my favorite song to tell you about my darkest hours. it's by BeBe Winans and it tells of a promise and a guarantee if you can only hold on.
"everytime i turn my eyes to the sky i'm reminded of a time in my life when all the dark clouds hung over me ... i was lost inside, in search of a key.
i remember loved ones being so kind, telling me it would get better with time. and i admit, sometimes, it did for a while, then i'd find myself, back under the cloud...
Then, right in the midst of the rain, my heart was so filled with pain - You came and rescued my soul and then your love took control.. right in the midst of the rain, you caused me to smile again, my life was awsomely changed.. right in the midst of the rain."
it's just raining now, baby. But you know the sun will eventually come back out. In the meantime, hold on. help is on the way. you are loved. you are needed. you are wanted. when you get to the other side, you'll be a stronger woman with an even greater faith and love for God.
See you when you get here. :)
love you,
jamie

Blessings,
I'm studying to be a psychologist, I'm a Deacon, and also prone to depression so I'm going to pray for you and also offer some words of advice.

As a psychologist, depression is a chemical imbalance, you can sometimes correct it yourself but often it's simply to much. You may benefit from talking to a doctor and seeing if you need help in getting out of this particular situation be it therapy or medication, they are simply helpers that can allow you to get better.

As a Deacon, embrass your faith and reach out and pray. God loves you, just keep repeating that to yourself and you will free yourself from your pain. Nothing you have done is beyond Gods forgiveness and nothing can take his love away from you.

As a person prone to depression, you have to change the way you think everyday about everything. Focus on positive things, do things, refuse to be near people who depress you. Depression can be a downward spiral creating all the problems you are depressed about. Simply summon an inner strength and refuse to be controlled by chemicals, you can overcome, even if you need help you still will have beaten this.

Love and Light

I hope this post will be of encouragement to you. Although I don't know you I can feel your pain as I read what you have shared about your situation. You are having a hard time right now and you don't see a way out but you must remember to have faith. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." Saying this, we can't always see what God has in store for us. We must believe God can do things that even our minds can not begin to conceive. God can and will deliver you from the depression you are feeling, but you must have faith. Also remember that things are never as bad as they seem; for God would not allow us go through anything He did not feel we were strong enough to handle. Also, many things we go through in life are for the purpose of having a testimony to bless and someone else at a later time. Think about it, what better way to convince someone that everything will work out for them than by being able to say, "I know because I've been through and look at me now!" Continue to pray to God for guidance and remember to keep the faith that God can and will deliver you from the state of mind you are in right now. When you begin to feel like no one loves you and no one is concerned, look to heaven and know that God loves you and he knows what you are going through. He's waiting for you to put ALL of your trust in him so that he can work things out in your life. I love you and I will keep you in my prayers.

We all have times when we think we are alone, unworthy, and unloved. It is a sad and dark place to be, but you are never alone...and I don't mean beacause God is always with you. While this is true and you can jump over many hurdles with this knowledge and his power, there are many people who feel just as you do. I suffer from depression also and have found solace through medication, meditation, prayer, and involvement. I started with prayer which led me to my Dr. and my friends. As I began to feel better, I forced myself to get involved in activities, other than my job, and this led to my eyes being opend to a world full of possibilities. Continue to reach out as you are and the doors will begin to open. Start with the love of God and believe that when he created you, there was a reason and purpose...you are loved and your are valued. Give your spirit a chance to heal and then you will soar!

Hi arz! :)
I'm also in my early twenties, and I feel what you're going through--it's always nice to see a sister here my own age! :) I went through a similar phase of depression and lonliness. I felt as though I was going to have panic attacks or something because of how alone and afraid I felt. The only thing that got me through was fervent prayers to the Lord. As I prayed those prayers, I felt as though answers would not come, because I felt as though I had little faith left. It took about 2 years, but the Lord finally answered my prayers about surrounding myself with new friends, GOOD friends! Now I have such a funny group of wonderful, eclectic friends that I could've live without.
Never give up on your faith! :) Just look at all these people hearing your prayers! :) Just the fact that you found this site alone is a wonderful message that God has heard your prayers, and is leading you to a place of happiness! We're all loved so much more than we realize, and it's beautiful when we catch a glimpse of what that Love is like through the kindness and love of other people. :) (especially all of us that have never even met face to face!)Our souls are bound together as one, and that is something worthy of praise! :)
God bless you! :)

Arz...I have suffered from depression since a small child. I lost my father at a young age, and only 5 years ago my sister killed herself. My mother died suddenly 2 years after my sister. As you have read my prayers for my daughter Jacqueline, and responded so sweetly,I must tell you that it is a struggle everyday with depression. When I post my awful family history, it almost does not seem real. I am convinced that my srength here on earth is to share with you. You need to seek help from a doctor, and if meds are prescribed you need to take them. Therapy has been my savior.People that come into my life such as you, is my therapy...You need to take care of yourself, and pray for guidance. It will come in time...I will continue to pray for you and remember...there will be light at the end of that tunnel you feel trapped in. I have survived, and so shall you.......Peace and love to you.....Marilyn

~ARZ~ You are truly blessed to have found this website. This website came to me in my E-mail. I don't know why or how. It just appeared there. And it has been a blessing for me. Your problems seem insurmountable, but unfortuntely they are very common. Many of us, for various reasons have depression. The loving, caring people who have aready prayed for you send strong and clear messages to you. And more importantly, they seem to have given you strength and hope for your future. It is so important for somone else to tell us that we are loved, important and valuable. You are loved, important and valuable. God's love surounds you, and the love and caring of strangers uplifts you. There is hope there for you! This is God's work in action for you, his deserving daughter. I pray that you do find a professional to assist you with medication and therapy for your issues and depression. It is heping me to handle some very dificult situations in my life. I am also feeling the presence of the Lord, my heavenly Father. Trust in him, he will guide you and I to peace and happiness. Don't isolate yourself ARZ. It is important to be among others, who can offer you support and joy. In God's name I lift you up in prayer.

Thank You all so much who have prayed for me. I have found 2 beautiful friends in my life that I know GOD brought to me, with the aid of each of your prayers. I will say a special prayer, in each of your names, to Jesus tonight. That he may also bring to you the desires of your heart. As I look back at the prayer I left a few months ago and see who God has brought into my life now, I realize that if we BELIEVE and TRUST in GOD he will fill your life with more than you ever dare dream. THANK YOU JESUS and please BLESS all of these angels that prayed for me.
GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU...

Dear Heavenly Father,
May YOU watch over this young woman, (AZ) who was feeling so much pain. I know exactly how she feels, for I was just there. LORD, YOU helped me battle and overcome many of my demons. I feel closer to YOU now that I have been
tested by the sorrows of the world. Please help her understand that she is not alone. YOU are always with her, and she has nothing of which to be afraid. YOUR love will save her. Amen.

Great Spirit,

I am offering this prayer for AZ, even though I realize it is much beyond the date of her original supplication.

Please, great mystery, show yourself into this young womans life when she is at her deepest and darkest moments and when she is feeling stable. Give her hope, Great Spirit, that things will always improve. Thank you, Great Spirit, for leading her to Belief.net in her time of need - I know this was no coincidence;in fact, it was your loving hand on her shoulder.

I pray for Az good treatment providers; I pray she understands that medication was made by you through humankind to treat this sadness;I pray that she understands that depression does not mean she has a lack of faith - it means she has a trial and a blessing attached; I pray for a strengthening of her social network; I pray she is able to keep negative things and people out of her life; most of all, I ask you to allow her to find peace deep inside herself - with you - so that she may rest in the bounty of your arms.

Thank you for all the blessings you have given AZ.

Kahniea

Dear Lord,
Depression and these feelings of loneliness are the times we know you are closest to us, but the most difficult times for us to feel your love. I pray that AZ has long since overcome her depression, but I know it probably always worries her that it may return. Please continue to bless her and give us the strength and love to support all of those in our midst who struggle with this horrible condition. Please work through us all so that we may help them feel Your love and give them the comfort and peace they desire and deserve. --Amen
