I am in recovery and I am asking for prayers that I will make recovery my first priority. Also, that I will trust God's will for me. I am also praying for others that are struggling with addiction or that have friend/family struggling with addiction. |

My prayers go to all those who are suffering from the horrible disease of addiction. I have been in recovery for 9 1/2 years, my husband the same. My sister in law celebrates her 15 year recovery from Heroin. None of us thought this was possible, but we realized that we could not do it on our own. Once you let that go, you can begin to heal. I just wanted to say that it gets better the further away you get from it. One day at a time. Ask for help, and keep asking! Keep praying! He's always by your side! Everyone suffering and in recovery you are always in my prayers. Kashmir358 |

Lord, I pray for all those recovering from addictions. Lord, please be with them and love and hold them as they take their days one at a time. I pray for peace in their lives and for them to be surrounded by loved ones and not temptations. I pray Lord that you are always there with each of them, with your love, your peace, and your warmth. Amen. |

God, please give my husband the strenght and power to break his computer addiction. Please enter his life and grace his world. Break the strong hold that Satan has upon his and give him the courage to face who he really is. |

ThankGod I'm still alive.God's with me and he must have a plan.God never wants his child to continue to live/die in addiction. That's MYchoice. No matter how I say "I just can't stop".Man is given choices by God, God never expects us to go thruour pain alone. He is there for us and expects us to be for one another as long as we don't put ourselves in harms way.I know my loved ones feel harmed, hurt and pain I have caused. With serious counseling I need toget to the root of why I feel PAIN anduse drugs to escape. CONTINUES>>>NEXT ENTRYI can't look to God for healing if I don't cultivate my relationship with God and build my spirituality on a sincere, everyday basis.I need a recovery program to stick with NO MATTER WHAT.Recovery programs DO WORK butwith vigilence, honesty and FAITH.I know that they guarantee recovery if I follow suggestions and the path of other recovering addicts.Often families lose faith and hope, and are tired of being hurt,so they distance themselves as far aspossible.Tough love.Enabelers may be the only persons the feel still love them.It may helpthe addict, but addicts only feelabandonment, dispare, hopelessness. We don't love ourselves.Without my parents tolerating mefor many years, and I have only skimmed the surface here,I don't know where I would be.NA and GOD will not enable but continue to always be there until I can finally see for myself as well as my loved ones that it's ok to be an active part of my life, SOBER! I am only able to speak on what I have experienced and what has worked for me in the past.Recovery programs work if you stay with it. So why do I continue to use? I do not follow my own advice and knowledge.Like I don't want to quit, but there's NO successful addicts.Period.Please pray for me for answers to why I continue to do this.I know how to get recovery so what is my problem?? |

Heavenly Father, Prince of Peace, Please be with all the addicts inside and outside the rooms of recovery. Give them guidance and strength to know there is a better way of life. Please be with the families who are suffering because they don't know what to do to help. The ones helplessly waiting for their mother, father, sister, brother, son, or daughter to come home, not knowing if they are dead or alive. Father please bless the babies that are born into this disease without a choice. We are all only one drug away but with you all things are possible. It is possible to stay clean! I know because with you by my side I have done it for 4 years 3 months and 14 days. Thank you Lord for all you are doing in my life and all the ways you are using me for YOUR good. In Jesus Name I pray,AMEN |
