I lost my favorite uncle to this terrible disease. His final years were a great testimony to the strength of his character, the love of his family & the depth of his faith. But it was not an experience I would wish for anyone. I join you in prayer for all suffering the ravages of ALS -- the patients themselves, their families & friends -- for the courage to remain loving & human through the long, hard course of the illness. And I pray for all those engaged in research - that soon a cure can be found. |
