Joan C. Eddis
Good Friend

Joan has lost her health and her children, from whom she is estranged, but not her spirit. She has multiple catastrophic illnesses and lives alone, yet her mind and heart remain open and engaged in spiritual love. Photo by Alva Wong Shuk Ying

Please pray for healing--restoration of Joan's health and reconciliation with her daughters. She has survived multiple sclerosis, cancer, diabetes, and other illnesses that have rendered her wheelchair- and home-bound, as well as penniless. Yet her mind and spirit are indomitable. Joan is thankful for her friends, but yearns to see her daughters. They went to foster families when Joan became ill many years ago and their father remarried and started a new life without them. Somehow, the young girls, now grown women, felt abandoned by their mother, who for a time felt abandoned by God. Joan is now in the waning stages of MS and wants nothing more than to see her children and any grandchidren. Her faith is once again profound, and she has inspired many with her poem "Comes the Dawn"--see "Life Is a Learning Process," http://community.webshots.com/photo/6760495/7007644GsbXkTKGKd. Webshots is working to give Joan attribution for these beautiful, heart-wrenching words, dedicated to her beloved daughters.
