A prayer for myself, as I have lost my only brother to murder.

I would like to make a prayer circle about myself and the members of my family. We lost my brother to murder March 12, 2000 and time does not heal the wounds.

My brother, Bobby Matthews, was brutally murdered on March 12, 2000, by an aquaintance of his over $40. He was beaten, stabbed, and his throat was cut. It was the most horrible thing that anyone would have to go through. We were and I hope, continue to be very close. Sometimes, I just want to sit down and give up, but I know I can't. The trial is in July, and I don't know how we'll be able to handle it. So, we need a prayer and maybe it will be enough to get us through.

Tracy, please know that prayers are being said for you and your family. I lost my brother as well, yet not to murder like you did. This kind of a sudden loss is very emotionally shocking and leaves a bad scar. I pray for healing, healing, love and more healing to you and your family for I know how devastating a sudden and violent loss can be. I pray with all my heart and please know that God will sustain you through this if you put the burden onto him and keep reaching out for help to others. Please don't try to carry the burden of this all by yourselves, for it is overwhelming. Time will help to heal you, counselling for the anger, in Jesus name I pray....
