Self-Mutilation and/or Self-Injury

Prayer for people who struggle with injurying themselves physically by use of razor blades, biting, skin damage, bone breakage, cuts causing bloodflow & scarring.(caused from childhood abuse or low self-esteem & no sense of self-worth)

I want to start this group because I suffer from this problem & there are many other people who also live with it but are too ashamed to share & get help.
Many of us who struggle with self-injury are taught to keep our emotions & pain to ourselves so secrecy has been reinforced.
This is a prayer circle where you can remain anonymous & submit your prayer requests to be healed. Sometimes you feel relieved when you hurt yourself because we have been taught that abuse is normal, dysfunction is acceptable. I am here to tell you that you are NOT ALONE with your nightmare & pain. I've endured this struggle since I was 12 years old, attacking myself because of low self-esteem & a constant need to punish myself by inflicting pain & injury.
I am fed up with what this destructive habit is doing to my body, mind & spirit.
Anyone who can relate to this or wishes to pray for us...please join our group.

This is amazing, i didnt think that a lot of people did this. I thought it was just a few of us. I am so glad you have created a prayer circle for this. I do these things to myself when im angry or guilty and feel i need to be punished in another way other than emotionally. or sometimes it just makes you feel better and calm down because youre concentrating on something else. I would love it if people prayed for me and other people who do this, because it is a sickness, and its not right to do this to ourselves.
