Lesson II. Dieting Doesn't Work
People who lose weight and keep it off don’t deprive themselves of good food. Eating healthy, controlling portions, and exercise that’s fun, not overwhelming becomes a way of life – not a way to diet.
- Your taste buds have a short memory. They forget about junk food in just 10 days and crave things like apples and an icy glass of lemon water.
- Enjoy all the fruits and veggies you want, but “food as big as your fist” is a rule to use for protein and carb portion control.
- 20 minutes a day keeps the pounds away. Do anything active. Take a walk. Dance. Ride a bike. Start small and you’ll begin to crave more.
