Leviticus on Treating Disease
Italian physician Girolamo Fracastoro first wrote of infectious disease in the Renaissance period. Many brilliant scientists throughout the ages followed the practice mentioned in Leviticus of isolating the infected person and later isolating the actual contaminating bacteria that causes disease. Louis Pasteur, Jonas Salk are only two famous doctors who developed cures with modern medicine.
He shall remain unclean all the days during which he has the infection; he is unclean. He shall live alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.
