Don’t hold grudges.  Everyone has a lesson learned from a parent that sticks. "Don’t hold grudges,," is the one my Dad taught me, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Not all women inherit good values from a loving father. Sandee barely knew her dad. Her memories are of an absent father who caused her nothing but pain. It’s easy to hold on to the positive values we inherit, but how can we benefit from negative ones?

Sandee learned from the bad example of her dad. She knows the importance of being a good example to her kids. She learned how to suck it up and move on. She learned how to be grateful, not for what she lacks, but what she has in abundance: A loving parent in the Creator as Father, who nurtured her to grow into a smart, secure, and beautiful woman.

Only Child

"Help me."
I seem to say that a lot.
You must be tired of my constant pleas.
Yet You remain as close as my shadow
as constant as breathing.
You spoil me with your constancy.
How good of You to favor each one of us
as though we are an only child,
Your ear tuned to the particular pitch
of each of our cries.
Mother, Father, Friend:
Thank You for listening.
