If money is the root of all evil, then call me Cruella Deville. I'm not a "buy anything and everything" sorta gal, but for me, like most people, money is a security blanket I can wrap warmly around my family.

Times are tough and are only getting tougher. And when there's a family thrown into the mix, the purse strings are tight enough to cut off circulation. It becomes the focus of our thoughts, the pulse in our veins, this need to scrimp and save and think "money" until dollar signs are showing up every time we close our eyes.

But maybe it's time to breathe.

Breathe and take a moment to appreciate what's not always so obvious: we have the privilege of worrying because we've been blessed with people to worry about. If it weren't for our family's love that softens our hearts and puts smiles on our faces, then nothing in this world, not even money would mean a thing.

And now that I think about it, I don't even look like a "Cruella" anyway.

Refreshed

Breathe when all else fails,
Breathe to reconnect.
In the freshness of the air,
You are there taking me
to my final place, for today,
we are ending on a note
of kindness and grace.
