Listening-to-Your-Body

Our bodies yearn for us to listen to them. Think of your body as a very intimate partner who is with you all the time and knows what you're doing day in and day out. Your body is your own physicality. It's more than just a reflection in the mirror.

Francine knows her body. She's a gym rat who is happiest hanging around with her cronies at the health club. It was no surprise when she noticed a soreness in her instep, aches and pains are part of her routine. But when it got worse, she knew her body was telling her... take it easy.

There are ways you can not only hear the message your body is sending you, but understand it too. By connecting with your body; the physicality, and tuning into the spirituality of your inner-self, you can properly care for your body. Thanks to the Creator for the marvelous partnership we're given of body and soul.

My body is a patchwork of bruises,
cuts, scrapes and burns.
I have not been a good steward
of the body You gave me.
I seem to walk it into walls,
and insist it be made of sterner stuff
than flesh and bones.
Forgive me.
Please move me deftly,
like a master puppeteer;
steer my two left feet.

Help me take better care
of this singular gift, my body,
and regard it with proper awe
as Your creation.
And always know:
My trust in You—
unlike my bones—
is indestructible.

"Are you getting signs from your body?"
