“There is no end to the writing of books,” said the author of Ecclesiastes—and he didn’t even know about the coming culture war and its nonstop tide of titles. Conservative broadsides in book form are commonplace; the New York Times bestseller list is hardly ever without a title from Ann Coulter (most recent: “Godless”) or Bill O’Reilly (most recent: “Culture Warrior”). But this year, the culture war’s liberal camp has issued book after book of its own. Below, see our sampling of these titles. (And it is only a sampling—otherwise there’d be no end to the listing of books, either.)
