My Sweet Darling Bunny


In loving memory of my darling bunny, Fonzie, who never even lived to be a year old.


Fonzie, you will never know how much I loved you, how your loss still cuts my heart and haunts my dreams. I will always remember the little things, like how you would run to greet me when I got home from school, and run in little circles around my feet. How you would purr with your eyes closed in contentment when we lounged on the floor together and I scratched behind your ears. How you loved to sit and watch TV with me, how you would come hop into my lap, and how the time I took a nap on the couch, and you hopped up right beside me, gave me a little kiss on the cheek, then snuggled up beside me with your head on the pillow and slept with me. Oh Fonzie, I love you so much and I miss you. The only way I can alleviate my pain even a little is to remind myself that I'll see you again someday, and that you're being taken care of in Heaven. I love you.

Hi Nicole. I just wanted to let you know that your memorial touched me. I had a bunny, too, and he lived to only be two years old. I still miss him even though it's been over a year since he passed. However, know that I will pray for you and Fonzie, and I look forward to seeing my bunny as well as yours when I finally go to Heaven. (I'm sure you'll go there, too - then our bunnies can be friends!) For now, be at peace knowing he is still with you in a very real way, and you will see him again as you saw him in this life.
