Pamela Greathouse
Recovery from prescription drug addiction

On this day, I celebrate 3 months of "being clean and sober".

This was a difficult time for me. I relapsed after being admittted in Jan. 98 and having a successful 2 and one-half years.

I got a prescription due to a root canal for pain killers and the dreaded cycle was uncontrollable by me, alone.

I surrendered completely and went to the hospital. I prayed all night and woke up with the song, "I surrender all", by the Newsboys in my head. This is ironic because I really didn't even know the song. I do now. I listen to it all the time.

Without surrendering, I would not be here today to write this.

I just read your post and pray that you are continuing to do well. I know how much courage it takes to place yourself in to the hands of the Divine.
God bless you and bring you peace and joy.
