I believe he used to be a former dean of admissions at my school (Stonehill College). I never knew him personally, but his impact on the campus here is powerful. He was the first contact of so many former students and it was his kindness that comforted them. I know he is in a wonderful place. |

Fr. Grogan served in our parish for one year while our pastor was on sabbatical. He was a kind, gentle, and friendly man of God. He was a wonderful storyteller and a priest who saw his ministry as one of service. I will pray for his Holy Cross brothers and his family and many, many friend who will miss him. Somehow I don't feel he needs prayer - I believe he is now with the Lord continuing his life of love & joy. He will be missed by many!!! |

I did not know Fr. Grogan, but the loss of a life in such a way is so devastating. I pass on my prayer to all of you: Father, help me to find peace and give me the gift of forgivness for those men that murdered Your servant and Your children. As our Lord said as He was dieing "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do" From the little bit I learned in the memories written above, I think Fr. Grogan is saying the same prayer. |

He sought Christ, he found Christ, he loved Christ. That's how we ought to remember him. |

Our parish (St. Stan's, Fall River, MA) held a memorial service for Fr. Grogan last Wednesday evening. Every seat in our church was taken! The ushers had to bring in folding chairs. That should tell you how much we were touched & influenced by him in the short time he was at our parish. One of the things most often mentioned about him was his infectious smile. One youth group member said that they saw Jesus' smile in the smile of Fr. Grogan. May he continue to smile on all of us from heaven and may we all learn the "power" of a sincere and Christ-filled smile!! |
