Straight No Chaser’s new single “Text Me Merry Christmas” featuring Kristen Bell may just be the holiday song of the year, and it’s not your traditional Christmas tune.
The song opens up with the Veronica Mars’ actress and voice of Frozen’s Princess Anna singing, “This holiday, you’ll be far away and I’ll be alone, so remember this December, to fully charge your phone.”
Next, comes a back and forth text play between Bell and SNC, with a slew of short, emoji-filled text messages, not a far shift from our world of communication today.
The group wanted to produce a Christmas song that showed how informal communication has become, but with a comedic feel, which they accomplished perfectly with this holiday hit. Watch this cute video above.
