Things like arguing, addiction, or being negative may lead you to court. The bigger marriage killers like infidelity, flirting, lying, or not putting your spouse first could be the culprit. People enduring nagging may question the relationship, so instead of being happy to see each other, the one person avoids to be around you. Couples then will start fighting over the nagging! There is a 20 percent increase in negative communication when you nag and a 12 percent decrease in positive communication, Dr. Howard Markman, a professor of psychology at the University of Denver told the Wall Street Journal. If you are stuck in a nagging pattern, acknowledge it and work to fix the problem. Understand what makes the other tick before nagging. For example, if they never pick up their boxers and socks, it could be that they are working long hours and are tired.
