  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons minced parsley
  • Rice or Chinese noodles

Saute onion and garlic in butter over medium heat.  Add meat and brown.  Add flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms.  Cook 5 minutes.  Add soup and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.  Stir in sour cream and heat thoroughly.  Sprinkle with parsley.  Serve over rice or Chinese noodles.  Meat mixture may be cooked early in day.  Do not add sour cream and parsley until reheating for serving.
