Our Lady's Tears
Lily of the Valley: Lily of the Valley is called Our Lady's Tears. It is said that her tears fell at the foot of the cross and turned into tiny fragrant blossoms.
Meadow Cress: This plant is also called Our Lady's Smock. Like all girls of her time, Mary learned to weave and this flower represents the fine linens made by Mary's hands.
Marigold: Early Christians placed marigolds around statues of Mary in place of coins calling them Mary's gold.
