In my book, The Power of Attitude, I share the fact that some people think that because I am who I am, I'm always positive. They think, "You started Successories. You couldn't possibly have a negative thought." Well, here's a confession. One of the main reasons I started Successories is that I needed continuous reinforcement to keep me motivated and focused on my goals. In a perfect world, we hear something once, and don't need to hear it again. Well, I don't know where you live, but my world is far from perfect. I occasionally have doubts, fears and disappointments in my life, and I need "shots of inspiration" to encourage me and keep me motivated.

If staying positive and motivated is really important to you, you'll be proactive and develop a plan to reinforce your attitude on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. But if you think it'll happen on its own, you're wrong. What works best for each of us is a very personal thing. It could be inspirational books, or CDs, prayer, music, or having regular conversations with a positive friend. But here's the key...don't wait until you're down to act. Put your plan in place today to help keep your attitude on the right track.
