Uriel is willing to give you peace and love any time you need it. Because of this, Uriel is arguably the most accessible of the archangels, bringing harmony and peace of mind to even the most difficult types of situations. Many people have told me how Uriel appeared almost magically when they desperately needed him. It can be comforting to know that he is never far away, and will come to your aid whenever you need him. You may have experienced Uriel’s presence in the past without knowing it. Sometimes, while sitting in front of a fire, I feel a sense of peace and tranquility come over me, and realize that Uriel is there with me.
However, there will also be times when you are not in desperate need, but still wish to make contact with Uriel. You might want to thank him for what he has done for you. You might want to gain some understanding about letting go of fear, guilt or some aspect of the past. You might need his help to forgive someone who has hurt or wronged you. You might want to experience his love around you.
You will find it highly beneficial to establish and maintain a relationship with Uriel. People sometimes tell me that you need to be highly evolved spiritually to even think about communicating with an angel or archangel. This is not the case. I believe that anyone can make a connection to the spiritual realms, if they sincerely want to. All you have to do is temporarily put aside your ego, quiet your mind, and send out a message to the angel you wish to contact. When you become aware of the spiritual presence, speak openly, honestly, sincerely and humbly, holding nothing back. You can rest assured that your requests will be answered. In return, all you have to do is to strive to lead an honst, upright life, genuinely attempting to make the world, or at least your small part of it, a better place for everyone.
There are many ways to contact Uriel, and we will cover some of the most effective ones here. The first thing you need to do is establish a protection around yourself.
Sit or stand in the center of the area you will be working in. If you have a compass with you, or have some idea as to where the four main directions lie, face north. This is because north is Uriel’s direction. Take several slow, deep breaths, each time inhaling as much air as possible. Hold the breath for a few seconds before exhaling slowly. Imagine that each breath of air is filling you with protective energy.
After several deep breaths, walk around your chair in a clockwise direction, saying out loud, “Thank you, Uriel, for giving me the opportunity to call on you. I am establishing this circle of protection, so that nothing but good can enter.” The circle can be as large, or as small, as you wish. You need mark the circle with your steps only once, as this is sufficient to provide all the protection you may need. However, I know many people who like to walk around it several times.
Once the circle has been created, you can do whatever you wish inside it, confident you are protected and safe. If you know where the four cardinal directions are, you might like to acknowledge and thank the archangels of each direction: East: Raphael, South: Michael, West: Gabriel, and North: Uriel.
You should establish a circle of protection around yourself before working on the following exercise.
Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for at least thirty minutes. You might want to temporarily disconnect the phone, if you are doing this at home. The room should be warm, but not hot. If the weather is cool, you might want to heat the room or cover yourself with a blanket. I like to do this meditation lying on the floor. This is because I tend to fall asleep when doing this exercise in bed. You might prefer to sit in a comfortable chair.
Closer your eyes and take several slow, deep breaths. Focus on your breathing, and allow yourself to relax with each exhalation. Gradually, allow all your muscles of your body to relax. I usually start with my feet, and then feel the relaxation spreading throughout my body. Once you feel totally relaxed, mentally scan your body and see if there are any areas of tension remaining. Consciously relax these, and then scan yourself again to ensure that you are totally relaxed.
