After surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer, I couldn't manage the upkeep of our farmhouse. My husband, Robert, did everything he could to help around the house, but between his job and caring for me, he was stretched to the limit. Hiring a mad was out of the question, considering my mounting medical bills. Overwhelmed, I cried out to God one day, "I have more than I can handle. Please help me."

At my next Bible study, an acquaintance approached me. "My mother and I run a cleaning service," she said. They wanted to take on my house, free of charge, until I was well enough to do it myself. "Please let us do this for you," the woman said. My housekeeping angels came every week for almost a year until I got a "clean" bill of health and was able to take up the dust rag again.
