Turn the other cheek?
What about the Christian evangelist in Pakistan who has been in hiding out of fear of his life? Recently Adnan Masih chose not to fight back, but to turn himself into police and ask them for protection. He is accused of making notes in handwriting in a book about Islam – and thus violating Pakistan’s anti-blasphemy laws. Attorney Aneeqa Maria, head of Pakistan’s The Voice Society, told Morning Star News that Masih had surrendered to police in Lahore. There, Judge Khizar Hayat Khan acknowledged the risk to Masih’s life and ordered police to ensure his security while he is in custody.
