Turkey Parmesan

Ingredients and Preparation

Large egg 1
Water ½ tablespoon
Dash of salt
Pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese 1/3 cup
Basil, chopped 2 tablespoons
Turkey breast cutlets, cut into smaller pieces if long ½ pound
Olive oil 1 tablespoon


Directions
  1. Mix together the egg, water, salt, pepper, cheese, and basil in a small bowl.
  2. Place cutlets between 2 sheets of plastic wrap and pound with a meat mallet or the palm of your hand until about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Dip cutlets in the egg mixture, and then cook until golden and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

A systematic review found that participants given chewing gum after abdominal surgery may have a faster return to normal for their digestive system. Unfortunately, the quality of trials is low and more research will need to be done before this simple solution is confirmed.
