Screening for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
The purpose of screening is early diagnosis and treatment. Screening tests are administered to people without current symptoms, but who may be at high risk for certain diseases or conditions.During regular check ups, your doctor will ask lifestyle questions, including those about alcohol use. Brief questionnaires may also be used to help identify unhealthy alcoholic habits. An honest conversation with the doctor is important for all aspects of health.
