Is there a fee for Beliefnet Email account?
No. Beliefnet member services (including email, weekly newsletter, discussion boards & dialogue groups, memorials etc.) are absolutely free.

Do I need to register to get free Beliefnet email?
Yes, registration onto Beliefnet is required for all Beliefnet member services-including email. Registration onto Beliefnet is absolutely free.

How do I sign-up for a Beliefnet email account?
You are given the option to create a Beliefnet email address when you first register onto Beliefnet. To sign-up for free Beliefnet email, simply click on the open box next to the Yes! in the Beliefnet registration from.



A Beliefnet email box can be obtained after you have already registered onto Beliefnet. You must first sign-in to Beliefnet and click on the Free E-mail link above the lead story on the Beliefnet home page. The Free E-mail page allows you to sign-up for a Beliefnet email address, to see the exact address of your Beliefnet email, and to choose whether to publish your Beliefnet email address in your Beliefnet Member Profile.

To sign-up for free Beliefnet email, simply click the circle next to the Yes on the Free E-mail page.




At the bottom the Free E-mail page, click on the Submit button to finalize your email registration. Your free Beliefnet email address should be operational in 24hours after the email registration time.

What is my Beliefnet email address?
Your Beliefnet email is automatically set-up to the following address:username@beliefnet.com. Your chosen Beliefnet username followed by @beliefnet.com

How can I publish my Beliefnet email address in my Member Profile?
Once you sign-in to Beliefnet, click on the Free E-mail link above the lead story on the Beliefnet home page. The Free E-mail page allows you to sign-up for a Beliefnet email address, to see the exact address of your Beliefnet email, and to choose whether to publish your Beliefnet email address in your Beliefnet Member Profile.

To publish your Beliefnet email address in your Beliefnet Member Profile, simply click on the box next to the following statement on the Free E-mail page:

How do I know if I have email?
Beliefnet free email is accessible 24hours a day. Once you sign-in to Beliefnet, click on the Check E-mail link above the lead story on the Beliefnet home page. Your Beliefnet email box will open with all your new email messages. The Subject line of new email messages will be bolded and highlighted like the following:



How do I read my email?
Beliefnet free email is accessible 24hours a day. Once you sign-in to Beliefnet, click on the Check E-mail link above the lead story on the Beliefnet home page. Click on the Subject heading of an individual email message to read the contents of the email message.

How do I send email?
Beliefnet free email is accessible 24 hours a day. You must first sign-in to Beliefnet and click on the Check E-mail link above the lead story on the Beliefnet home page. Your Beliefnet email box will open. Click on the Write Mail box on the left-hand side of your Beliefnet email box to compose an email message.


The following email composition box will appear:




Once you have finished composing your message, you can choose one of the following email functions:

  • Spell-check - Searches and corrects any misspelled words in the current email message.
  • Attachments - Include an additional file with current email message.
  • Addresses - Email address book that will save chosen email addresses.
  • Cancel - Completely deletes the current email composition. Once a message is cancelled, there is no function to retrieve it.
  • Send - Automatically sends current email messages to the email address indicated in the To box. Once a message is sent, there is no function to retrieve it.
