question 1-What did Jesus look like?
question 2-What was daily life like in Jesus' day?
Traditional View: Man with flowing light-brown hair, fair skin, and a neat beard
In the Gospels, there is no mention of what Jesus looked like. Jesus' appearance in images through the centuries has varied according to different artistic and historical traditions and the artists' conceptions.
In 20th-century America, the image most commonly associated with Jesus has been Walter Sallman's 1940 painting "Head of Christ," above.

Non-Traditional View: Short, slight, shaggily bearded man with dark hair, skin, and eyes
There are no contemporary physical descriptions of Jesus, but scholars think he probably looked like a typical first-century Galilean peasant or craftsman: dark hair, skin, and eyes; short; slight; and shaggily bearded.

"What diference does it make, what he looked like? Even if we had a photograph of him, the important thing is, will you be able to recognize Jesus with your heart?"
