I used to not believe in healing. I believed more in God’s grace to endure sickness, which does occasionally come in handy, but to be the child of a miracle-working, death-defying, sea-parting, way-making God and yet never ask Him to work a miracle, defy death or make a way where there is no way, is just plain silly. And selfish and a poor use of resources. God needs to be “allowed” to be fully God, and invited to be fully God. You may not be comfortable thinking of being able to limit God’s power, but Matthew 13:58 tells us that Jesus didn’t work many miracles [in Nazareth] because of their lack of faith.” Imagine having the power to limit Jesus. Well, you do. Imagine now the endless possibilities when you don’t limit Him. Let the Scriptures convince you of His healing power for your spirit, mind and body. He wants you to ask for healing, just like you once asked for our salvation, and He wants you to take yes for an answer. But you also must make wise choices so you can walk in divine health. It’s the difference between crisis intervention and in staying smart so that you need less crisis intervention. The 30-Day Faith Detox is committed to that end.
