Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins are co-authors of the "Left Behind" series of novels, which tell the story of the world in the years following the Rapture (a theology held by some Christians that says that in the last days, all believers in Jesus will be taken into heaven, leaving behind the unregenerate for a time of trials). 

"Left Behind" is one of the best-selling novel series of all time, with over 60 million sold books (including prequels and a children's series). The sixteenth and final installment of the series, "Kingdom Come: The Final Victory," was released April 2007.
