What Reform Jews Believe
Central tenets of this faith, based on the questions in the Belief-O-Matic quiz.

I find the Belief-o-matic quiz a bit faulty and in need of updating. I'm a Religious Humanist Deist minister and the Belief-o-matic has me down as a Reformed Jew - not that there's anything wrong with that. God leads each of us down different paths and the truth can possibly be found in any one of them if we look hard enough.

I'm not sure what you believe,is it nothing or so personal that I not be shown. Perhaps the best thing I have ever heard is the sound of silence when asked "who are you, show yourself that I may know you." You have stopped my vanity at the door and blinded me to the truth that you are actually better than me. So I will retreat within myself lest I be found in Sodom and my all consuming fire to make you in my image destroy both of us.

I think that it is perfectly fine to believe what you want. I think that it's a great way to raise children because it helps give them a choice. Let them choose what they want to believe.

Belief is not as important as being a good person. Help others, live for today, protect life and the environment, be kind, be generous and respectful. And you really don't have a right to critisize what you don't fully understand.

So in other words: Believe what you want. .... No way to raise your children!
