Atheist-turned-Christian, Oxford don C. S. Lewis wrote a classic defense of the Christian faith for the skeptic. In his article comparing Lewis with Emil Brunner, Mark McKim reminds readers that Lewis argues that "the historic core of Christian beliefs...was not only profoundly true and important but should be focused on to the exclusion of other lesser matters which tended to divide Christians."
