I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle.  I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.
 ~ Mother Teresa

Few things can test our faith like money and financial issues. Perhaps this is because we can easily confuse our self-worth with our “net-worth” and when this happens and our financial resources are low…there too, goes our self-esteem. And when we don’t feel worthy of having, we can begin to lose faith in ourselves and sometimes, even faith in God.

It is very difficult to create something new or positive from this place.

We greatly need to disentangle what we have in the material world with who we are. Each one of us in equally loved and valued in the mind of God. If we begin to look for evidence of God’s love and support in how much wealth he does or does not supply you with, you will always feel
lacking and insufficient.

Those who have greater wealth are not better loved or favored by God.
We are all valued and loved equally.

We create wealth in direct relationship to our consciousness and our willingness to love, forgive and value ourselves regardless of what we possess.

How worthy do you feel of receiving?
How much are you truly willing to receive?

As you heal on the inside and learn to love and forgive yourself fully, you create the space to receive and then, whether you have a lot of money or not, you will be rich. True wealth is an inside job. So start there.

Here is a prayer for today:

Dear God,
I pray today not asking for more but your
loving support in letting go of all that I have
accumulated inside that no longer serves me.
Take from me my feelings of unworthiness,
my shame, my feelings of insufficiency.
My inner house is too full of old furniture, remnants
of my past and negativity to receive your good.
Help me to make room for loving myself, for forgiving,
for believing in myself and for knowing that I am
enough and fully receiving your love and grace.
Make room for my new life which I am truly ready
and willing to receive. Make it a big room.
And so it is.
Amen.

Peace & Blessings!
