joel and victoria osteen, joel osteen, victoria osteenEverything we do produces a seed and leaves something for future generations. The Bible says, “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds” (Matthew 5:16, NIV). People may not necessarily hear your words, but they are certainly going to observe your life. For example, I can tell my children all day long how they are supposed to act and what they are supposed to do, but the truth is that they are going to do whatever they see me doing. When they grow up, they are going to model their lifestyles and their relationships after what they have experienced and observed. That is why it is so important to live as a positive example for your children and family. You paint a picture with your actions, and your children put their own frame around it. Make the decision to paint a picture that your children will be proud to frame! No matter what’s happened in the past, it’s never too late to change the picture you’ve been creating. Jesus can wipe your canvas clean so that you can create vision and purpose in your home that can be passed down for generations to come.

Maybe you don’t have children of your own, but perhaps there are other children in your life. Tell your nieces, nephews and your friends’ children how important they are. Your words of faith in them will be a great deposit in their futures. Your actions speak, and you never know what can happen when you affect just one life.

Today, remember that your life is significant. You are a part of God’s eternal plan. You have a pivotal role to play in history. Don’t ever underestimate the power of your actions. Be bold today and follow whatever God has placed in your heart. You may not be in the spotlight, but you will be rewarded for every good deed, for every person you encourage, for every act of kindness. When your actions speak to the heart of just one person, you are building a legacy of faith for future generations!
