Yours For The Taking

They don’t ask me if it’s okay to get a drink. They don’t beg my permission for a sandwich or a snack. They just walk right in and help themselves. They know that in our family, they are welcome to whatever we have in the house.

Do you know that God’s kingdom operates the same way? When you join God’s family, when you receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you don’t have to beg Him for “something out of the fridge.” His blessing, His abundance, His provision and His promises are yours for the taking! It’s all available to you. But if you don’t realize this, you’ll miss out on what He has for you. It’s up to you to do your part to receive His blessings. It’s up to you to take hold of His promises by faith. It’s up to you to go boldly into His presence and find everything that you need.

Today, know that whatever you need He has, and as a child of His, He makes those things available to you. Don’t just sit waiting and wondering if or when God will bless you. Instead, receive His promises by faith! Begin to declare His truth over your life. When you speak His Word, it’s like opening that refrigerator door. When you sing praises to His name, it’s like pouring a refreshing glass of water. When you walk in obedience to His Word, you are setting His blessing in motion. Keep believing, keep speaking, keep following His Word and get ready to partake of all the good things He has in store for you!

“What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?” (Matthew 7:9, NKJV).

It's Time For Some "First Times"
One time at church, I was talking to a college student. She was about to take a very important final exam. She asked, "Joel, would you pray that God will help me make a C on this test?" I kind of laughed and said, "Why wouldn't we want to pray that God would help you make an A?" She said, "Oh, all I

What To Wear Today
If you're like me, when you wake up in the morning, you start thinking about your day—where you'll be going, who you'll be seeing, and what the weather will be like. Then you go to your closet and choose something to wear that will work for all those different scenarios. But there's one thing that

Stay On Winning Side
Right before Jesus was arrested and taken to the cross, He had a conversation with one of his disciples, Peter. He said, "Peter, you are going to deny me three times tonight." But Peter loved Jesus and refused to believe it, "No way! I would never deny You. I'll stand by You 'til the end!" Sure enou

Thank God For Generational Blessings
We can all look back through our family lines and see how our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and others in our family history have affected our lives. Sometimes people see negative things that have been passed down, but the blessing of God is passed down as well. In fact, Exodus 20:6 says
