victoria osteen, joel and victoria osteen, joel osteen ministriesGod loves you so much today. He wants to lift your burdens and bring you comfort. In Deuteronomy 33:12 it says, “Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between His shoulders.” This verse paints such a beautiful picture of the invitation for us to just lay our heads on His chest and allow Him to shield us from anything that would come against us in this life.

When we rest securely in Christ’s unconditional love, it strengthens us and enables us to enjoy the love of our family, friends and spouse more—even when their love fails to meet our expectations. Because of Christ’s love, you don’t have to be shaken when the love of others seems uncertain or when you feel like you’ve let someone down.

Joel and I have been married for almost 25 years, and the strength of our relationship comes from knowing that God loves us perfectly and unconditionally. Even though we may not do everything perfectly, we extend that unconditional love and acceptance to each other. We don’t just love each other when things are good or when we agree on everything; we are committed to loving each other no matter what. That certainly doesn’t mean that every day is perfect. There are those days when we don’t meet each other’s expectations. But when things don’t go the right way and I’m tempted to get down on myself, I don’t focus on what I’ve done; I focus on what I know—that I am loved unconditionally and that love carries me through.

Today, know that you can find strength, confidence and stability in God’s love. Receive His invitation to rest securely in Him. Cast your cares on Him because He cares for you. His love has no limits; His love is never ending, and His love will empower you to overcome every obstacle in every area of your life!
