Words of Hope and Inspiration with Joel and Victoria Osteen

Made for More

In life, we all experience setbacks and disappointments. We all have times when things don’t go the way we planned. If we’re not careful, those negative experiences can attach themselves to us, weigh us down and hold us back. We have to realize that what has happened in the past doesn’t have to define our future. God made us for more than just barely getting by. We weren’t meant to sit on the sidelines of life because with God, we are on the winning team!

I love what my sister, Lisa, writes in her newly released book, You Are Made for More. She begins with a declaration of faith:

“I am God’s masterpiece, created for a purpose and destiny.
I am made for more than surviving in life, I will thrive in life!
God is at work in my life and He will perfect everything that concerns me.
I have a good and bright future.
God is turning my scars into stars.joel osteen, daily inspiration, words of hope and inspiration, God's love
I am strong, overcoming, and soaring over every obstacle.
God can and will bring me to a flourishing finish.
God is bringing my dreams to pass in His perfect timing.
I am bold and courageous to act against fear.
I am safe in my Father’s hands.
I am letting go of the past and moving forward with God…”

Lisa is an amazing woman of faith, joy and integrity, and I admire her so much. She is more than my sister; she is a hero to me as well. Throughout her life, she has experienced and overcome so my trials from a life-threatening illness to a broken marriage, broken dreams and the loss of people she has loved. Yet, she has kept the faith and has come out victorious every single time! Her life is fueled by her passion for the things God and seeing people rise higher and becoming all that God has called them to be.

If you sense in your heart that there are higher levels in life to strive for, I encourage you to pick up a copy of her book, You Are Made for More. It’s a great way to start the New Year, and I’m confident that she will inspire you like she inspires me! In the meantime, why don’t you make this confession a part of your everyday routine? Print it out and tape on your mirror. Keep it in your purse or on your desk at work. Let the truth of these words ring in your heart because you are made for more!

Whether we are a minister or not, The Word of God states “That His Word (however precious or suitable for the situation) DOES
NOT RETUTN VOID” but acompolishes it’s (the Lord’s) purpose!! So be greatly encouraged by the power of His Word!!

In Christian churches, a minister is someone who is authorized by a church or religious organization to perform functions such as teaching of beliefs; leading services such as weddings, baptisms or funerals; or otherwise providing spiritual guidance to the community. The term is taken from Latin minister “servant, attendant”, which itself was derived from minus “less.”[1]

First before we speak on who is and isn’t a minister, maybe we need to define minister. Did you know a Minister is a servant. You do not need fancy theologial instiututions to define who you are. If, you are serving in the Kingdom of God, my dear you are a minister. It doesn not have to be in a church. You can serve anywhere God place you.

Joel Osteen is a very nice and sincere person. But he is not a minister. It all sounds good because the word of God is nothing but great. Mr. Osteen is nothing but a motivational speaker and nothing else. When he shares if it words for a person only last for a moment. God bless Osteen but he is not doing God work.

It's Time For Some "First Times"
One time at church, I was talking to a college student. She was about to take a very important final exam. She asked, "Joel, would you pray that God will help me make a C on this test?" I kind of laughed and said, "Why wouldn't we want to pray that God would help you make an A?" She said, "Oh, all I

We all have times when things come against us. Times when we feel cheated, mistreated, wronged or taken advantage of. Maybe you're facing a difficulty today and you're not exactly sure how to handle it. If we look to the Word, we see that Jesus set a powerful example for us to follow. Here He was

What To Wear Today
If you're like me, when you wake up in the morning, you start thinking about your day—where you'll be going, who you'll be seeing, and what the weather will be like. Then you go to your closet and choose something to wear that will work for all those different scenarios. But there's one thing that

Stay On Winning Side
Right before Jesus was arrested and taken to the cross, He had a conversation with one of his disciples, Peter. He said, "Peter, you are going to deny me three times tonight." But Peter loved Jesus and refused to believe it, "No way! I would never deny You. I'll stand by You 'til the end!" Sure enou

Thank God For Generational Blessings
We can all look back through our family lines and see how our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and others in our family history have affected our lives. Sometimes people see negative things that have been passed down, but the blessing of God is passed down as well. In fact, Exodus 20:6 says
