No, I don’t mean that we should mock God because it’s a holiday. I mean that at its core, Passover, and the Pesah Seder in particular, invites us all to imitate God as first encountered in the Bible — a bringer of order to a chaotic mess, and a creator of purpose in a purposeless world. And isn’t that what we are all trying to achieve in our lives? Passover promises us that it is within our grasp to succeed.
The seder itself, conceived by rabbis in the wake of the Second Temple’s destruction in the year 70 c.e. is a statement of confidence in our capacity to find order and meaning in our lives even during the toughest of times. The word seder means order, and the ritual steps that we go through on the first nights of the holiday all point in that direction. And you don’t even have to be Jewish to do them!

These ten steps, inspired by the seder meal, will help you find order, meaning and purpose in your life. Like the seder itself, they will help you remember that deep down both you and your life are sacred gifts filled with possibility and worthy of celebration.
Happy Passover – Chag Kasher V’Sameach!
