Easter Traditions

posted by amcdaniel

Spring has always been my favorite season and  Easter my favorite holiday. Something about the green trees and sunny weather makes me optimistic and joyful.

Growing up my family had many Easter traditions,  each of them unique.

We would wake up around 6am and go to church for an outdoor  sunrise service, followed by a Easter Breakfast in the fellowship hall.  After prayer and pancakes, it was time to go work on the farm until church time. When church ended,  it was always Easter Baskets and lunch with the immediate and extended family. If the weather was nice we usually had an Easter egg  hunt or dyed eggs if it was raining.

What are your Easter traditions ?

My family never had many Easter traditions, although my mom would hide chocolate eggs around the house and have my brother and I look for them. :)

Pet photographer's ambitious adoption photos. I love this idea! The photographer takes a dog in a shelter and uses simple costumes and decoration to promote adoption. The logic behind this is that by photographing the dogs in a more serene/family oriented enviornment, potential adoptees can s
