Jesus
Who do you say God/Jesus is? Do you think He is both God and true man, both our savior and messiah? Or do you think He could be or is a phony, a lie that has yet to be discovered? The truth may stun some people with who He really is. He says in the Bible- I am that I am when Moses asked Him who He was. He knew and knows a ton of people will ask who He is. In Exodus 3: 14, it says, “ God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’
So many people in the world do not know God or Jesus on a personal level, and it is a shame. Knowing God and being saved by Him changes your life. He saved you by dying on the cross. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness with your full heart and mean it, then you’ll be saved.
Some people may find it harder still to believe that there is a God. So many people have argued against God actually being alive and among us. It is easier to look at the Bible with its truth and get filled with the knowledge of God. Some people may not want to look into it and want to continue their old ways.
Some Bible verses that describe who God is are as follows:
Jesus asked Peter and His other disciples to tell Him who they thought He was. He even asked Peter directly who peter thought He was. Luke 9:18-20 explains “18 Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?”19 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.” 20 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”
1 John 4:15 says, “If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.”
John 10: 28-20 says, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
Mathew 10: 28-30 says, “Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.”
Mathew 16: 20-26 says, 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah. 21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!” 23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns. 26, What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?”
Many people have always asked the question of how Jesus could be both true God and true man. He was created that way by God Himself. He had human characteristics and emotions such as anger, sadness, stress, exhaustion among many other emotions and characteristics. But, He also had The Holy Spirit within Him as well as God helping Him and allowing Him to do the miracles He was able to do.
Many people think that God couldn’t have existed, that He doesn’t see and know all things. On the contrary, He does see all things, and knows exactly what will happen in each of our lives on a daily basis. Many people even say it is impossible for His miracles to be completed. Again, on the contrary, there is proof of Him doing miracles in the Bible, including Jesus’ first miracle that He performed turning bathing water into the very best wine at the wedding in Cana. There is also the miracle of His birth, Him dying on the cross and being raised to life again on the third day- Easter morning.  He also made blind men see, healed the sick, and raised other people from the dead. People ask how can someone die and rise from the dead three days later.  I think all of us are wondering that same thing. Only God can answer that question. Maybe He will tell us when we get to Heaven.
Here is another aspect to look at: If Jesus was a fake, then how and why did He have so many followers and 12 disciples? So many people wanted to know Jesus and to witness His teachings. Many people were always there to witness the works He did for the good of our world and for the people in those times. He is also still very much alive and at work in our world today. It might not be as obvious, but He is alive and well. Jesus was the humblest person in the world. He was there for the lowest of the low. With so much evidence of Jesus being real, we can look at the facts of the Bible and spread the good news- Jesus is not a fake. His love was and is real. He was and is both true man and true God.
