Obama’s Pro-Abortion Record: The List Goes On and On..
Dear LifeNews.com Readers,
Today, LifeNews.com updated our exclusive and extensive listing of the pro-abortion and anti-life actions President Barack Obama has taken in two and a half years since taking over the White House.
Some say that a president doesn’t have much effect on issues like abortion, embryonic stem cell research, or promoting abortion abroad. But Obama has proven otherwise — as he’s forced Americans to spend millions of embryonic stem cell research, taxpayer-funded abortions, and spent tens of millions promoting a new Constitution in Kenya that legalized abortions there.
He’s pushed Obamacare and pushed abortion funding and paying for drugs that can cause abortions in Obamacare, refused to de-fund Planned Parenthood, cozied up with pro-abortion leaders, and put staunch anti-life activists in key policy positions and judgeships who will have an impact on pro-life laws for a generation.
In the a few short months since our last update of this important Obama Abortion Record document, here’s what he’s done:
April 11, 2011 – Refuses Speaker John Boehner’s request to cut taxpayer funding to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
April 14, 2011 – Obama administration castigates The Vatican over family planning.
April 19, 2011 – Obama Easter breakfast has pro-abortion religious leaders.

June 1, 2011 – Denies Indiana’s request to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
June 2, 2011 – Obama administration approves more taxpayer-funded embryonic stem cell research.
June 17, 2011 – Defends forcing taxpayers to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business in court.

Iranian authorities began to systematically seize and destroy Bibles after a Shiite cleric issued an urgent warning about the spread of Christianity.
Authorities in northwestern Iran seized 6,500 Bibles, according to the Iranian Christian news organization Mohabat News, which quotes an official as saying of the seizure that “all religions are strengthening their power to confront Islam; otherwise, what does this huge number of Bibles mean?” The agency has reported several other recent incidents of Bibles and other Christian literature being seized and sometimes publicly burned.
– Most of history’s despots and tyrants have force their citizen to burn Bibles, for they have feared the Truth. Pray fervently for the Iranian Christians as well as for those who are now receiving the Gospel. Ask the Lord to use His mighty arm to protect the Christians in Iran. God is stronger than Ahmadinajad and than any demented mullahs. Amen!
– “I foresaw the Lord always before my face; for He is at my right hand that I may not be shaken.” (Psalm 15: 8)

In Support of SB 5
In this Columbus Dispatch editorial, a retired school teacher explains why he supports the reforms in Senate Bill 5:
My wife and I are both retired schoolteachers, and we are divided about Ohio Senate Bill 5 and Gov. John Kasich. I’m for the proposal, but she doesn’t like it.
While at my wife’s retirement potluck dinner recently, I spoke to her family about the present state of education in Ohio, and then my mind started working. I taught in a district that had 85 percent reduced-price lunches. We were one of the poorest districts in the state, which means that for every dollar I was paid as a teacher, the state of Ohio paid 85 percent and the local residents paid 15 percent.
But herein lies the problem.
We had an administrator who retired at $80,000 a year, was rehired at the same salary he had just left behind, and then got another $40,000 a year from the State Teachers Retirement System, making him $120,000 a year.
So, when he was rehired, 85 percent of his $80,000 was paid by the taxpayers of Ohio. In this one simple action by the local school board, every taxpayer in our state was held liable for his salary.
A new principal was denied a chance to become an educational leader, new educational ideas were lost and the school system became an example of cronyism. And the state once more was scheduled to pay 85 percent of a salary that could have been a lot less if a new and younger person full of creative ideas had been hired.
We shouldn’t be so willing to spend the public money of hard-working Ohioans.
Members of the public should have some say in the matter, since it’s their money.
I believe Ohio Senate Bill 5 would put the power of spending their hard-earned dollars back in the hands of the taxpayers, just where it should be.
