An Adult Baptism

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A Shelby County mother is facing contempt-of-court charges and possible jail time for baptizing her two children without the knowledge or consent of her ex-husband. The mother and her ex-husband, Blake Jarrell, are both Christian — he’s a Methodist and she’s a Presbyterian. If convicted, she could face 20 days in jail and a $100 fine.

Anyone who would procecute that woman should
be in jail with her the whole time themselves. Baptism is for repentance of sins. If these children WANTED to be baptized, then no one should have prevented them. If they were just babies, since babies have no sin, then it would only be a dedication ceremony. Sounds like a mom who cares about her children to me!

This is what happens when you disobey the Law-Word of God. And — This is what happens when we take our Christian differences before an ungodly court system. This “suit” belongs in a church court, not the civil courts. This is nuts to send a woman to jail for her religious beliefs. And this my friends, including JB, is the result of divorce and letting the civil courts take charge of the church! If you get married, stay married, like God commands us to! When we make a lifetime commitment then we should live with it! God hates divorce! Remember it was the Supreme Court that passed Roe v. Wade that made it possible to murder babies only seconds before exiting the birth canal. And this is who Christians are looking toward to trust to settle our difference in our faiths, doctrines, and religious disparities? Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!! I doubt God is standing with either of these two infantile parents. I pity the poor children being brought up in this atmosphere. They are the ones who will suffer as a result of their parents being untaught. If this is where Christians look to, evil magistrates to settle Christian Doctrine, get ready to meet a lion in the Coliseum, my friends. These two are fools! Simple fools. The Lord calls them simple. The simple are the ones who have no understanding, wisdom or knowledge of the Holy Scriptures (see) [Proverbs 1:22] How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? — — And this is why they perish! (see) [Hosea 4:6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

She violated the court order that said her husband had the right to be consulted in important matters in the religious upbringing of their children. She deserves punishment of some kind. Fathers are often treated like second class citizens by courts that are too often biased toward women, and I’m encouraged to see this father’s authority in his family being upheld by the courts in this matter.

Well first off whats the big deal? The mother didn’t do anything wrong so why is the court even getting involved? Secondly as a Christian don’t people know that infant baptism is un scriptual!
