BREAKING NEWS! Mexican national and convicted murderer Humberto Leal Garcia Jr. has been executed

Watchwoman: Does the Bible support the death penalty and capital punishment?  Yes, the Bible supports the execution of murderers and a few other crimes.  God was the first to set up the death penalty. After the worldwide Flood of Noah’s time, God put safeguards in place against human violence. Of prime importance was the death penalty: “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man” (Genesis 9:6).  If a human or an animal killed a human, the killer was to be put to death (Genesis 9:5). This was because of the sacredness of human life. God created humans in His image, so murdering another human meant you would forfeit your own life.  God has never revoked the death penalty. Jesus said He did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). And the Apostle Paul preached about the government’s right to invoke capital punishment on evildoers (Romans 13:1-5).  [Source: ]

BREAKING NEWS! Mexican national and convicted murderer Humberto Leal Garcia Jr. has been executed by lethal injection in Texas.
The Obama administration and international leaders had asked for a reprieve on behalf of the inmate.
What makes Leal’s conviction unusual is that he was not informed about his right to contact the Mexican consulate upon his arrest — a right guaranteed under a binding international treaty.
Leal, 38, was convicted of raping Adria Sauceda, a 16-year-old girl in San Antonio, and then strangling and bludgeoning her.
According to a Texas official, Leal’s final words included: “I am sorry for everything I have done.”

Watchwoman…I certainly hope that Leal’s final words included true and complete repentance in his heart and soul, that he learned of Jesus Christ and His Shed Blood to cover any and all sins any human being has ever committed, and that Leal accepted the payment that Jesus Christ paid for Leal’s sins and that Leal is in heaven for all eternity.  I hope the same thing for you, whomever is reading this right now.  I pray in the Name of Jesus to God the Father to send the Holy Spirit to woo you into complete acceptance of Jesus Christ, first as Savior, then as Master — and that you repent (turn completely around and change from your sinful desires) and be truly sorry for you sins and to try your utmost to stop sinning, but when you do, remember you have an Advocate Jesus Christ, pleading before the Father in Heaven on your behalf.  You will never be alone fighting sin again.  Jesus will be there helping you overcome all temptation.  In Jesus Christ name, I pray, for you, the reader of this post.  Amen.   ▬ Donna Calvin

The death penalty is appropriate when A) There is absolutely no doubt that the person is, in fact, guilty of the crime, and B) the risk of the person killing again is unacceptably high. It is nearly impossible to meet both of those conditions; the only time I can remember in recent years that I could truly support an execution was Timothy McVeigh, who was so demonstrably guilty and who said that he would kill again if he could.

So an illegal rape’s and kill’s an innocent American girl all of 16 years old, yet Barry wanted to set this guy free so he can stay in America and receive food stamps and welfare just so Barry could get his vote.

The execution of Humberto Leal Garcia, like every legal or
extrajudicial execution, was a crime against humanity and
against the humility which should lead us to seek human
justice while remembering that “Vengeance is mine, saith
the Lord.” Genesis 9:6, properly interpreted, simply
predicts that blood begets blood, and implies a
responsibility for human governments to restrain murder by
a wiser justice, which Hebrew sages such as the Rabbi Akiva
recognized was a nonlethal justice.

The exact form which this nonlethal and humane but severe
justice takes may vary by time and place. Thus Charlemagne,
around 800 CE, ordered that murderers pay compensation to
the victim’s family and do the ordained penance for this
atrocious crime — not a light matter, as the penitentials
of the time suggest by their penances for much less serious
sins or crimes. Today in the U.S.A., it is in the most
heinous cases life without parole plus restitution to the
victim’s family and society at large, for when one is
killed all are victims.

United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/62/149
(December 2007) calls for a global moratorium on
executions. This is in keeping with the highest spiritual
values, as well as with the basic precepts of a wise and
limited government.

Justice was done. Simple as that! I’ll never understand this sickness of liberals who want to protect the criminal while ingoring their victim. Kudos to the State of Texas for blowing off Obama, the UN, and Caleron and exacting justice.

As you probably know, Obama wanted SCOTUS to step in! (((Mexican Citizen Is Executed as Justices Refuse to Step In
Published: July 7, 2011
WASHINGTON — In a 5-to-4 decision that split along ideological lines, the Supreme Court on Thursday evening rebuffed a request from the Obama administration that it stay the execution of a Mexican citizen on death row in Texas. The inmate, Humberto Leal Garcia Jr., was executed about an hour later.

Times Topic: Capital Punishment
Editorial: The World Is Watching (July 7, 2011) The administration had asked the court to delay the execution so that Congress might consider recently introduced legislation that would provide fresh hearings on whether the rights of Mr. Leal and about 50 other Mexican citizens on death row in the United States had been violated.

In his last moments, Mr. Leal repeatedly said he was sorry, and shouted twice, “Viva Mexico!” The Associated Press reported. ))))***source: NY Times
