Well…what did you think?
I haven’t done much LostBlogging this season, partly because the themes that previously interested me so much – faith, mystery, doubt, redemption – haven’t been in as much evidence recently as they were the first couple of seasons. Also because, I admit, I’m usually pretty confused by what’s going on – it’s pathetic, really, how hard I have to work my brain to try to remember who went with who where on the island, which alliance broke down and how, and so on. Lostpedia helps, but honestly, I’ve got plenty to do with my time besides doing prep work for television shows I”m watching. Oh, and my favorite post-mortem site after the episodes are Emily Nussbaum’s recaps at the NYMagazine entertainment blog – here’s this week’s, just up.

I continue to think the flash-forward idea was ingenious, but the main reason I watch it is because of the actors. For the most part (with the exception of Kate) – the thing is exceptionally well-cast, even in minor roles, and even if I’m not grasping the big – or even middle- picture at times, every hour is full of enough small moments to keep me entertained and interested for what’s now the only show I watch regularly. Or, come to think of it, at all.
So…what did you think? Feel free to discuss freely. If you haven’t watch and don’t want to be spoiled, don’t read the comments.
And what’s coming in season five? As some wag put it on a discussion board…Return to Gilligan’s Island meets Weekend at Bernie’s?
