There are folks out there who are huge fans of Sigrid Undset’s Kristin Lavransdatter trilogy. You might be interested to know that Amazon’s Penguin Classics Reading Group has been discussing the work this month.

(I read the first, never got to the rest, unfortunately. During my stint at Loyola Classics, I did read another one of of Undset’s novels, though – The Wild Orchid, which I liked very much, found startlingly contemporary in its discussion of family and society, but wasn’t quite the right fit for the series.)
