CNN has a decent round-up of the past couple of days, but for one point:

A transcript of the pope’s remarks obtained by The Associated Press television network reads..

..like it’s some hugely secret document that only Professional Journalists have the savvy to obtain.

Online here since the day he delivered it, bub.

But, you know…better luck next time with the Top Secret Newspaper Guy Obtaining.

Another thing I’ve noticed in blogging around about this – non-Catholic bloggers, God bless them, need to understand that when it comes to Vatican statements, they often need not depend on the AP or whatever to tell them what’s been said. In regard to Bertone’s statement today, hardly anyone linked to the actual text, which has been on the Vatican website since early this morning.

What Christopher Blosser has done at the Benedict Blog is a MUST – if you’re serious about understanding this matter, go there.

He’s got three detailed posts – one on analyzing the Regensburg talk, another on the conflict, and then another long post going through the Pope’s visit to Bavaria and citing and linking the highlights of each day. Great job – as usual!!!
