Son #1 calls to inform me of two interesting points of his day:

1) He decided to go to noon daily Mass at the Cathedral, interesting since I don’t think he knew before he went that it was St. Augustine’s feast day – St. Augustine being kind of important to him because a history course he took at UT which was taught by an expert on Augustine and the Augustinians played an important role in helping him get refocused on school after a shaky start.

(this daily Mass being an extra boost and relief to him because he’d been getting kind of annoyed at the crowds he keeps encountering at Sunday Mass – "There are lots of Catholics in Atlanta," he says, and I just say, "Well, if you didn’t choose to go to a late Mass and get there five minutes before it starts…you might find a better seat." His comment after this Mass? "It wasn’t like it was all for show…" Which is exactly the experience of many of us, isn’t it?)

and then went to work out

2) with The Rock.

Accidentally – I have no idea what it means but he said they did preacher curls on the same equipment. Or something. Chris asked him, "Uh…do you need more weight?" But The Rock said no, it was cool, but he did them much more slowly and held them for longer.  And even though he’s got no idea why The Rock is in Atlanta, he’s sure it was him – unless, as he said, some huge guy decided he’s such a fan of The Rock that he got plastic surgery and tattoos that are exactly like his…

A fairly exciting day, what with St. Augustine, The Rock, and all…
