You could cross-stitch the Sistine Chapel ceiling!

(Of course, it might take longer than the summer – say 10 years, for the woman who stitched it and created the pattern.)

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Ceiling in Cross-stitch , a new self-published book by Joanna Lopianowski-Roberts, shows the fruit of the author’s 10-year project to replicate the images of the ceiling. Lopianowski-Roberts has assembled a whole set of the patterns she created for other stitchers (who have formed a Yahoo group) to follow. More background here and a few pics here.
