This article isn’t brand new, and it involves accusations made in lawsuits, but even what Kinkade, artistic cash cow of Christian bookstores and such,  admits, on one hand, and doesn’t deny, on the other, is fascinating. The lawsuits concern business dealings, but bring out various personal issues like heavy drinking, visits to strip clubs and er…"rowdy talk."

Mr. Kinkade testified in a deposition that excessive drinking and "some normal rowdy talk" had taken place, but he denied touching the woman. "But you’ve got to remember," he said, "I’m the idol to these women who are there." In the recent arbitration case, he also testified that he had never claimed to be perfect.

I sat and thought about that sentence for a few minutes. It’s like…you know the appeal of the artist, right? It’s raw, it’s creative, it’s hard to resist. It’s Raphael, it’s Picasso, it’s Pollock…it’s….Thomas Kinkade.
