…to Cleveland!

Southern Baptists are rolling out a multimilli on-dollar evangelistic blitz to rock Cleveland with the Rock of Ages, an event other religious groups in the region are greeting with a mixture of anticipation and concern.

Over the next two years, thousands of Southern Baptists from the state and the country are expected to come into Northeast Ohio in a massive outreach effort that the nation’s largest Protestant denomination hopes will widen its geographic reach.

Expect to see groups of Baptists walking through neighborhoods in prayer, inviting families to send their children to sports camps and vacation Bible schools and starting backyard Bible studies and churches.

By the end of 2007, the Southern Baptists hope to increase the number of their churches in the region from 36 to 58.
